Challenges!
I have a vision. And in that vision, I have sold one of my books to at least one person in:
Alabama Specific:
All 67 Alabama counties. (0/67)
All 4 Alabama cities with at least 100,000 residents. (0/4)
All 5 Alabama cities with at least 50,000 residents. (0/5)
All 31 Alabama cities with at least 15,000 residents. (0/31)
All 64 Alabama cities with at least 5,000 residents. (0/64)
All 100 Alabama cities with at least 500 residents. (0/100)
All 125 Alabama cities with under 500 residents. (0/125)
And to have done at least one book signing event at each independent book store in Alabama. (0/31)
Non-Alabama:
All 49 other US states. (0/50)
10/25/50 countries. (0/10)
So that is my challenge I am setting to myself! Here are the rules:
This challenge officially begins on 6/1/2026.
Jut because I know I have sold books in locations, such as by doing an event there or the like, does not mean I can count retroactive sales. Yes, that means a lot of places I could have ticked off the list already, but I can't.
There is no time limit to completion. But like, I want to be done in ten years at worst. Five would be great.
I do not have to sell the book in person. In fact, in most places I won't, due to business licensing requirements and the like. Folks can order the book online, or buy it from a book store. They just have to live in the requisite location.
There has to be a picture associated with this purchase for it to count. Someone has to send me a picture of themselves holding the book they bought. I will also, hopefully, be taking some of these pictures myself. Perhaps organizing a day trip to an area to see some sights, take some pictures, and sign some already purchased copies. If someone bought one of my books before the start date, they can submit a photo of themselves.
One purchase can count for multiple challenges. If someone lives in Millbrook, then they count for both Millbrook and Elmore County and Alabama.

A picture of one of my books.
You can be holding it.
Someone else can be holding it.
No one has to be holding it.
It just has to be one of my books.
It can be an ebook, if you want to take a picture of your kindle or whatever.
Same for audiobooks.
Please, please, please don't be doing anything illegal in the picture.
You get totally meaningless bonus points for the following:
Including a pet.
Including a cool landmark.
Being dressed as a character from the books.
Anything possum related.
Being in the woods. But like, don't get eaten.
I need to know your first name and point of residence.
No, don't send me your address.
Yes, do tell me what city/state/country you are located in.
Tell me the name you want me to use when I reference who sent me the picture. Just a first name or nickname, no last names.
Lastly, I need you to tell me it's ok to post this picture.
I will most likely post this on social media.
I may post it on this website.
If you aren't comfortable with having your face in those places, don't send a picture with your face in it.

You can send me the picture via social media, you can post the picture on social media and tag me, or you can reach out through my contact form on this website. It doesn't allow attachments, but if you reach out through there and say you have a submission, I will reach out with an email you can respond to.
