Here are a small sample of items I want to highlight about my trip to Dragon Con this year!
The LadyWife was once again my rock throughout the weekend. Seriously, in a billion different ways she was so supportive. I could not have done it without her.
I got to spend a lot of time with Joe Compton. Joe was a constant all weekend, the person other than the LadyWife I got to spend the most time with. Life is good.
Ricky, a new friend and fan of my podcasting, gave myself, Ben Meeks, and Derek each a bottle of Malort to drink on the podcast. I'm still trying to decide if he loves us, or hates us. Seriously though, that was amazing. He's got me actually wanting to get back to podcasting, that's how nice he was.
I was given a book called "Give a Possum a PBR." It was too perfect.
I gave away something like 2,500 stickers, at least. I'm serious, I dropped those puppies off all over the place, and folks scooped them up like crazy!
I got to talk with James Hunter and Aaron Ritchie a bit, which was nice. Same for Matt Dinniman, in passing.
Ginger and the Foxes interviewed me, which was super cool.
I had a few folks walk up to me at the Gather to say that their spouses/friends had taken pictures of my ridiculous self (I was wearing my yard sign on my backpack) and sent them to them, which caused them to come to the Gather to buy my books.
I got to do a little bit of business, starting the initial talks for a potential CCC project.
We finally made it back to Trader Vic's (thank you LadyWife!!!!), and it was stupid good. Better than I remembered.
I only made it to one panel that wasn't mine, and it was neat. It was about poisonous plants.
I am certain there are a billion other things I am forgetting, it's basically non-stop amazing, but this a good round up I think.
