MomoCon is, as far as I know, the second largest nerd convention in Atlanta, just behind DragonCon. This past weekend I was a vendor there, and it was amazing!
It was me and in Ben in the booth, as per the usual, but we also added the awesome Hollis Jo McCollum! She's an author who writes epic dark fantasy that draws heavily on her background as a historian. She's also a fantastic booth partner.
Here's the big news: I sold out. For the first time ever I legit sold out. As in I brought as many books as I could, and sold everything I had (other than a couple of books 2/3 that I only bring to sell to folks who have bought book 1 previously. It is officially the best event I have ever had for sales I think, though Dragon Con 2025 is right around there.
On a more personal note, I brough the LadyWife and Kiddo to this one. I was in the booth the whole time, but I got to see them each evening, as well as passing by the booth or checking in with me to see if I needed to be fed, watered, or turned towards the sun. It was the first time Kiddo got to really cosplay, something she'd really getting into, and she had a great time. It was awesome to see.

I have a few small thoughts.
Ben and I have some cool plans for our shared boothing in the future. I think yall are going to be impressed.
I had a number of folks stop by to give me possums and the like. It really warmed my heart.
I had a whole family walking around the Convention in Tales by Bob shirts. I cannot properly express how amazing that was. Parents and kids, all in TBB shirts. What even is my life?! Who needs a Street Team when you have a Dirt Road Team, right?

It ain't none. With a booth this pricey I didn't want to risk being away from the booth too much, so I didn't apply for any panels or the like.

So we booked what is called an Industry Booth, because all Industry Booths were corner booths. We figured since it was a pricey booth, we wanted to be able to have three authors to help bring down costs. Next year we are going to try to get a more conventional booth, an inline, and just do two authors in the booth we think. We sold amazing, no complaints there, but we could tell that area got a little more foot traffic. The Industry section is less about sales a lot of the time, and more about demoing products. For example the booth directly across from us, which had booked all four corners of their island, was a new social media platform for cosplayers, who were just offering up a space for influencers to film content. We want to be in the space where folks are in a 'spend' mindset.
Also, my yard sign put in WORK. I'm serious yall, it brought hundreds of people to the booth over the weekend.
So yeah. I sold out all my omnibus editions and book 1's by Saturday, leaving me just seven Southern Saudades and two complete Ultimate Bundles I could sell on Sunday, and yeah, I sold them by around 1 I think. So the rest of the time was spent moving sales towards Hollis and Ben.
