Monthly Recap: November 2022

TRANSPARENCYMONTHLY RECAP

12/2/20222 min read

November was a good month. As you can see from the above picture, I got to be a panelist at CONjuration with some great people. I also got to sling some books, which worked out nicely. So lets dive in!

On the socials side of things, these stats aren't really fair. You see, I didn't compile these numbers until 12/2, and that came after I had joined in on a promo project with a number of other Urban Fantasy Authors. So I got a nice bump on my TBB socials, but they really came on the first day of December. But I'm not breaking it down to that obsessive degree, so you'll just have to cope. I got a nice batch of email addresses to add to my list from CONjuration, which was also nice. It's slow going for sure, but hey, it's better than it was!

I have also been thinking thoughts about streamlining my social media presence a bit. Step one is complete, with the shutting down of the Tales By Bob Podcast Network Instagram account. I didn't delete it, I just deleted the posts and changed the name to a placeholder (you never know when you might need a new instagram account for a project, and having one with over a hundred follower from the start is nice I guess). I am on the fence about doing the same thing to the Howard Marsh Instagram. I like it, but don't know that it justifies the time investment it will take to really grow it. I would have already, if I wasn't using it to flesh out my World of Jubal County page.

I am also on the fence about keeping my twitter. I have reservations about Musk in general, and him running Twitter isn't exactly helping that. I have found that since he took over I've only rarely posted, and haven't been checking it like I was. There are a couple of folks I like to keep up with on there, but I am sure I could find other ways to do so. For now I'm on a wait and see sort of policy there. I doubt I will ever delete it, just in case, instead I would just pin a post explaining where folks can find me should they stumble upon it. We'll see.

Oh, I did at a patron on Patreon! But that won't show until next month. But that was exciting.

On the sales side of things, it was more of the same, but a good same. I did a little one day sale that gave me a little bump at the beginning of the month, but even without that it would have been close to a 100 buck month for online book sales, which is nice. And those in person sales from CONjuration were nice as well! Things are moving along nicely. I'm not sure how December will go for me, but overall I think it's been a good year so far! Looking forward to what the future brings!
