Monthly Recap: September 2023

TRANSPARENCYMONTHLY RECAP

9/30/20232 min read

Ya'll! YA'LL! This month was so good! It is literally the best month I have ever had, and even better (in my mind) it came in a non-book launch month! Book launches are always my big earners, but this month I made the bulk of my money from in person sales! Woohoo! So lets dive in!

Money talk first! Dragon Con was the big earner this month. I cleared over 800 bucks after taxes and fees. But on top of that I had one small in person event (an Oktoberfest event), and I had sales at both Southern Art and Makers and Big Brick Market (the two places that stock my books currently). Outside of that, shirt sales returned to a more normal range of numbers, which was good to see.

Super excitingly, my Patreon is up to 8 patrons! That's the highest it's been! Woohoo!

Now social media! I have not been using Threads, but I have dipped my toe very lightly into Bluesky, since more of my author friends have landed there from Twitter. In my head I am setting a soft goal of getting my Facebook to 1k follows by the end of the year. It will take some real pushing, but I think I could get there. I would also like to see some real growth with my Discord, but I will be honest, I don't really know what I am doing there. I enjoy it a lot, but I wouldn't say I am good at it. But if you want the best place to hang out and chat with me, here is the LINK.
