Alright, here is the latest in my series of "The Cost of Launching a Book" blog posts, where I break down how much it cost to bring this book and series to market!

Cover: $15.00

So when I hired my cover artist for books one and two, I paid to have the source files included. Since I have been teaching myself the basics of graphic design, I was able to take that template and turn it into my latest cover! The only cost was I had to pay to get a commercial license for the font, so that the fonts on all three books would match. So I saved myself over a hundred bucks on this book.

Editing: 348.15

I once again used the amazing Texan book editor from Fiverr that I used for book two. It cost a little bit more this time because I had her edit a short story I wrote, that is set in Jubal County, that you can get for free by signing up to my email list. She did a great job as usual!

Ads: none.

Still don't know how to do this properly, so saving my money for now.

Total cost to bring to market:

Book Three Total: 363.15

Book One: 470.20

Book Two: 450.73

Three Book Total: 1,284.08

Total Amazon sales to date (1/28/2022): 787.27

Amount left to break even: 496.81

So basically I have managed to cover the costs of books two and three. So while I haven't broke even yet, my ratio is better this release. It will be interesting to see how the next few months go, as ideally I want to be at my break even point before book 4 comes out.
