What's Happening In Bobland
NEWS

It's been awhile since I gave a general 'here's what's happening' sort of update, so I am overdue! Lots to report, so lets dive right in!
Writing:
So where am I on the next Jubal County books? Book 4 is about a week or so from being fully written. So then it will need editing of course, but I think it could well be out by July. Book 5 is half written, as is Book 6. So...they will probably be out in December/March respectively. At least that's my intention. I haven't settled on specific names, but they will likely all be pulled from lines of Nose to the Grindstone by Tyler Childers.
Outside of those, I have another Jubal County book that I could release, with some heavy edits, that isn't a Marsh book. Basically a collection of tales from the County, mostly horror. So that might see the light of day soon as well, time allowing. I also have this horror novel that is technically under consideration from an agent...but I am really tired of it just sitting there not seeing the light of day...
Podcasting:
Derek and I are back on our bullshit, and putting out sporadic episodes of Books, Beards, Booze. It's been a lot of fun to dive back in to that, without the pressure of things like schedules lol. I am also starting an interview style podcast called Southern Fried Fantasy! It's going really well, I have knocked out a ton of great interviews for it already, and am set for a June 15th launch. In it I interview authors who live/lived in the South, who write genre fiction that is set in the South. It will be releasing on a two week schedule. I also have a few other limited run podcasts that I am planning, but they aren't far enough along to really talk about yet.
Events:
I will be presenting my usual 'How to Get Published' Panel at Alabama Comic Con on June 5th, and then Magic City Comic Con two weekends later. Both events are in Birmingham, so come say hi! I am also workshopping some other panels, so that I can branch out and offer more than just how to get published. I have a delightful how to start a podcast one, for those convention organizers who may be out there reading this. And am working up some on Rural Fantasy, Southern Fantasy, etc.
Non-Profit:
For those who don't know, I started a non-profit called the Hilltop Howlers to support art, culture, music, and small business in Montgomery Alabama. We're still moving right along, and I am super excited to tell you that we worked hard and got a busking ordinance passed! So now it is legal to busk in the city of Montgomery!
